Season Report
Nicey (Captain) gave an update on the season we
finished 4th from bottom in Division 7, hopefully we will stay up but they
are reorganising the league ready for the 2005 / 06 season. During the
season we had a lot of injuries and sickness which meant our numbers were
down but we always managed to put a team out. We won 8 games and lost 15 and
drew 1.
Gus raised the issue that the number of spares
were down on previous years and asked if anyone had any thoughts on why, it
was thought that there were a number of reasons. One reason was that people
are not always watching the game due to them talking or watching football
etc, this has been our quietest season ever.
Danny raised the point that the captain could
change the team by playing the anchor earlier in the game if we were down
Top of the averages
ChrisBowen (Nicey) finished top with 41.23 (866
pins). Terry Dennett was second and Gus Ritchie was third.
Home Alley
We will remain at the St James for the coming
season, it was aked if anyone had any ideas on how we can improve our home
form.
Election of Captain & Vice Captain
Nicey said he would like to stand for captain
again. Roger and Tony were also willing to put their names forward to be
considered for the position. A vote was taken with Nicy having 6, Roger 2
and Tony 4. Nicey was elected as our new captain for the 2005/6 season.
Roger & Tony were both willing to stand for Vice
Captain. A vote was taken. Roger received 9 votes and Tony received 4. Roger
was proposed by Gus and Seconded by Chris.
Treasury Report
Colin gave a brief resume of the income and the
expenditure for the 2004/5 season. The figures showed an increase over last
year of over £200.00. The accounts were agreed by everyone present to show
the position of the clubs finances.
Colin was willing to be re-elected. Roger
proposed and Chris seconded.
Election of Secretary
Mike was willing to be re-elected. Gus proposed and
Chris seconded again.

Averages
Colin said that he would continue updating the
averages every week, if no one else wanted to do it. No one else came
forward so Colin will do the averages next season.
Fines
Fines were £243.00. We reviewed the current fines imposed last season and it
was agreed that fines will stay the same.
All players must take part in the home raffle - No
change
Late arrivals was brought up by
Tony, who proposed that we have a cut off time of 8:30pm, the team felt that
the captain should have the right to decide on the night if a person
arriving late should be allowed to play if eligible or not. Reserves have to
be available at 8pm.
A signing on fee
of £5.00 shoule be paid before the start of the season, at the latest when
we play our pre-season friendly.
Nicey
/ Steve / Roger to arrange a friendly before the start of the season.
Stickers Fees was discussed and it was agreed by
all that they should be increased to £15.00 from £12.00 and prize money be
reduced to £10.00 from £15.00. This is in line with most of the teams that
we play against.
Alley issues - Nicey
will speak to the landlord about minor repairs to the alley before the start
of the next season.
Team Shirts
The Landlord was willing to go half shares towards
some new team shirts and that they would have the St James Hotel under the
teams name and badge.
No other
business was raised and the meeting was closed and then in a couple of day's
time it would be off to Seaton for our annual Skittles trip.
