Well the 2007 / 2008 season is now over
and we can take solace in the fact that we started with a good run
of results and finished with a good run of results, all we need to
do now is sort out the middle!! Feel free to click on any of
the links on the left to see have the season panned out and have a wander round and get to know us.
We are a
friendly side and as our name suggests we play in the
Cheltenham league in division 7 of 15. The team has been
going for 30 years with a number of the founding members
still playing.
It is
with regret and sadness that I have to announce that one of our players,
Paul
Wright
passed away in August 2006. Paul will be sorely missed..... Please
follow the Hyperlink to read about him.
We have
players of all ages in the side, running from 29 to 75. We pride
ourselves in the fact that we play for all the best reasons that whether we
win, lose or draw we have a good night and a couple beers. But at the same
time we are still quite competitive as we do like to win.
Our Home alley is the
"St James Hotel" in Cheltenham and is on the corner just along from
the bowling green near the lower end of the High Street. Our home
night is a Tuesday Night. As Gents skittles in Cheltenham are played
on either Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday, The majority of nights we
play is on Tuesday. Please see the fixture list for dates of up and
coming matches and results for those already completed.
